Who is on the jury?

Willem van Oort is an experienced consultant in the field of iGaming and online gaming. He is the founder of Gaming in Holland, a leading knowledge resource for the Dutch iGaming industry, and iGaming Consultancy Granvia.co. Van Oort is an authority on online gaming and has received several awards and accolades for his work in the industry. Since 2022, he has been a board member of Mindway AI, a Danish company specializing in developing artificial intelligence-based solutions for responsible gaming and gambling prevention. In addition to being a judge for the Online Casino of the Year, Willem van Oort has also been a judge for the prestigious Vixio Gambling Compliance Awards and the EGR Awards for many years.

Amsterdam-based Fintan Costello is a gambling industry veteran. He has held executive positions at numerous gambling companies, including PokerStars and PaddyPower. He also led the Gambling vertical at Google for several years. Costello is founder and director of BonusFinder, the online casino comparison site he sold to Gambling.com in February 2022.

Anne-Jaap Snijders has a Master of Science in Economics with a specialization in Marketing and has been working in the sports, media and gambling industry for 25 years. After merchandising at PSV Eindhoven and head of Marketing at Voetbal International, he started working at Kindred where he had the role of Chief Commercial Officer for the last fifteen years. He was also a board member of Relax gaming and the Casino of Blankenberge in Belgium. Since 2024, he has been working for himself as a consultant within the gaming industry with his company Book of Sports.

Mike de Graaff has been working in the world of online gaming since 2015. He counted ComeOn, Betclic, and Maxima Compliance among his employers. In 2023 he founded BetComply, a consultancy company that supports online gambling companies in the field of compliance. In his role as consultant, he was involved in the successful license applications of various Dutch online casinos.

Gilbert den Hertog has a long track record in the Dutch gaming sector. He worked for, among others, 888, Betfair, PokerStars, and Holland Casino. Since August 2023, he started GameCampaigns, a company that specializes in acquisition and retention marketing for online gambling companies.

Steven Vrolijk is managing partner at XY Legal Solutions, a company that advises various online casinos on compliance with the Remote Gaming Act in the Netherlands. He is also the driving force behind the Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates, a quality mark to which nearly 70 of the largest affiliates in the Netherlands are held.

Rik van Vliet is an iGaming consultant with a wealth of experience in the Dutch world of online gaming. He has worked for Full Tilt Poker, Golden Palace, LeoVegas, and PokerStars, among others.

Jurriaan Hillen is a renowned Betting & Gaming & Media consultant with a background in television production. Michiel Mertes is a digital nomad with extensive knowledge of the Dutch gaming market. After years of working for Unibet, he started working for himself as a consultant in 2019. As founder of sportsbetting platform Betmanbegins and co-founder of OddsBeater, he knows the legal online casinos in the Netherlands by heart. Conducts research on various aspects of online casinos for numerous parties within the industry.

Maicel Peters, a 48-year-old online gaming enthusiast who in daily life is a Wwft supervisor with the central government, brings with him nearly two decades of experience in the world of online gambling. His journey began in 2004, when he discovered his interest in online poker. This interest soon expanded to the world of online casinos, which he began focusing on from 2015/2016.
